Caving shops/ shops that sell caving gear

Most people here know all the main caving shops.
For example: Bat products
                  Bernies
                  Hitch n Hike
                  inglesport
                  Up and under
                  Caving supplies
and so on
but there are other places that sell a limited amount of gear
For example ,In Crickhowell South wales there is Crickhowell adventure sports.
They have no caving gear on display ( weird ) but do have a reasonable stock of oversuits furrys and caving wetsuits. rope ect.
what are the other tucked away places that sell caving gear.
I think that  between all of us on here we should nail them all.

Occasionally seen some petzl stops and Jumars in the climbing bit in Decathlon in stockport but not always garunteed.
Also bought some almost unused stops from Denbiegh Army Surplus in North Wales once.

Dalesware Factory shop.....!

Not as much as they used to, especially since moving to the new location...

And they don't sell their tackle bags through other shops any longer.

I've noticed this too. Went in a few months ago and the "caving" section seemed to be a bit of an afterthought.

Beaversports do their stuff online.

Does Jo Royle in Buxton still sell any caving stuff??

I think they sell a bit of hardware like descenders/jammers and SRT rope but that is about it - I haven't visitied the shop recently as I usually go to Caving Supplies or Hitch'n'Hike.

Has anybody taken up the gauntlet that used to be dragons.
Who used to make the gear for dragon or used they make themselves?

I keep meaning to check them out cos they're within walking distance from me. The shop appears to be just a small very cluttered bike shop from the outside with no obvious caving gear. Will go in and report back. I suspect the mailorder may be ru from a different site.

They used to make it themselves beneath the shop. My understanding is that the inductrial sewing machines were sold to someone - not for making caving gear though. One of SWCC (Toby) is now selling Petzl gear on a cash-with-order basis. It is a little bit cheaper than from a caving shop as a result. I don't know what has happened to the actualy shop building.

Hitch n Hike seem to have a few bits with 'Dragon' on the labels - did they buy some of the surplus stock?

H 'n' H, Inglesport & Caving Supplies all stocked up on Dragon Stuff when Dragon announced they were closing - as did a large number of Wessex members.

I myself own 3 cordura oversuits and 1 light weight suit.  (y)

Recently I bought one of the new Warmbac belts (with roller) from Bat Products.  Except the fact that they dont have the dragon logo - they look totally identical - stitch for stitch !

I would suggest they are possibly manufactured by the same person  :-\
