1. In accordance with EN 355 what is the maximum undeployed length of an energy absorbing lanyard, and what is the maximum permissible force to be felt at the anchor.

1.75m.  6KN.  ?

2. In addition to EN standards, what other standards can be used to type approve an item to?

CE. +. ?

3. Which current British Standard gives information on the effect of various chemicals on different textile materials used to manufacture personal fall protection equipment? Which other documentation contains similar information?

1. Can't say with any authority but 6kN was my understanding. No idea on length.
2. UIAA, DIN (and possibly ANSI where accepted)
3. To find this answer perhaps look at the EN harness standard references section where it should list the other standards governing the use and manufacture of the harness.
