Wow - like the pitches in Sima Grande.

A lot of the caves on the PSM have such a pitches. We have been exploring several of them over the years. Our top finds are the monster P258 and  the extremist P222. But single pitches of more then 100m are not rare at all. We are currently exploring a new cave "Sima Regalo" and ithis cave starts with a P130 followed by several pitches ranging from P20 to P90.  Currently we have 4 different leads in this cave and 3 of them are a next deep pitch.

The expedition report of last year with some stunning pictures of sima Regalo : http://scavalon.blogspot.com/2017/09/anialarra-expeditie-2017.html

My favourite picture

Most of the caves there start with a sequence of pitches for a total depth ranging from 350m up to 550m. After the pitches the base of the limestome is reached and there the underground rivers are flowing.

As of next week-end the 2018 expedition starts and hopefully we can descend new deep pitches :)
