Composing OS mapping with Google Imagery in Google Maps V3

As Google have deprecated the V2 maps API the time will come when I have port the Mendip cave map at http://www.bdcc.co.uk/mendip.html to use Google Maps API V3.

The lack of aerial imagery on OS OpenSpace makes using that API unattractive.

However I have recently managed to enable OS mapping from OpenSpace to be reprojected in the browser to overlay Google aerial imagery.

You can see the technique in action here http://wtp2.appspot.com/warpdemo.htm and here http://mortimermaps.appspot.com/mvmap.htm, which also includes British Geological Survey mapping - click for rock / deposit info. Sorry but the second site always start up on Mortimer to help preserve its daily quota of OS mapping.

I plan to use this technology when updating the Mendip cave map. If anyone in the caving community would like to use the code for online cave overlays then that would be fine by me - please email first.
