The Times journalist I spoke to last week was familiar with this event.  I was expecting him to base the story around it but he didn't mention it at all in the end.  He asked me why cavers were celebrating 50 years - what was the anniversary?  I had no idea - does anyone know the significance of 50 years?

I'd love to go. Via a big smiley megabus. But accomodation costs make it is a loss making venture.
