Nice to see cave diver Christine Grosart recognised as one of the Radio 4 Women's Hour 'Power List 2020: Our Planet' finalists, celebrating 30 inspiring women whose work is making a significant positive contribution to the environment and the sustainability of our planet. She has been nomimated for her work as a volunteer diver for Ghost Fishing UK organising the removal of abandoned, lost and discarded fishing gear. Not caving related but worth highlighting - she is in illustrious company - respect! :)

Awsome. I know just how much time and money Christine puts in to the charity, great to see recognition for both herself and the team....now if you read this Christine you just need to find time to dive with your poor neglected trainee! ;)

Please accept my apologies....I've only just seen this  :-[

Thank you, that's very kind. I still don't know who nominated me - the first I heard of it was when the BBC sent me an email telling me not to say anything!

It has been great for the charity and that was a serious list of great women doing incredible things - most of them unsung.

They wanted another interview but I am currently 70 miles west of Shetland on the FPSO Foinaven and then I'll be headed to another part of the north sea over Xmas. (sorry Mark, I seem to have got out of synch with lockdowns....).

I do a lot of underwater videography and editing for the charity, so if you need some feel good inspiration in these dark nights (and these videos are child friendly too) then our Youtube playlist is very cool  (y)
