Help With Survey Station Altitudes Please

Next to our dig in Reservoir Hole is a tiny red mark denoting a survey station ( Ali Moody's nail varnish ? )

I want to access the altitude AOD of that station and the Sump. I have completely forgotten how to access that data. Its all there on line somewhere. Can somebody provide a link for somebody who is getting more dimmer with age.

I'm not aware of any online survey of Reservoir that'll let you do that.

I'd download the Therion files and process them to provide input for the Loch 3D viewer. That'll allow you to pick off station heights.

Alternatively wait for Andrew to come along  :)

Looking at the survex model, the entrance is as 128m and what looks like the lowest station (is this the sump?) is at 39.04m

(the entrance AOD is easily read in the raw files as a 'fix')

Download the Cheddar Catchment Area .3d file from http://www.ubss.org.uk/resources/surveys/survex/CheddarCatchmentth.3d and view it in Aven (just click if you already have Survex set up). Find your station and, as you remember, mouse over to see coordinates, altitude, and station id at bottom of screen.

I right clinked on the link and saved it as "CheddarCatchmentth.3d" on my desktop and opened in Aven from there.  The sump is a 28.13 m AOD (the water level at the start of Sump 3 in Gough's is 28.53 AOD so the same).  The end of Jill's slither is 36.76 m AOD and Potters' Heaven 35.11 AOD.

(Sump 11 in Wigmore Swallet is 118 m AOD & the entrance is 262 m AOD)
