There is a very strong smell of petrol or diesel when you get close to the streamway culvert does anyone have any info on this.

It usually occurs after very heavy rain/floods and I suspect is diesel washed in from Netherwater Farm (which is often like a lorry yard!). Either they've had a big spill, which has now washed in, or its just collective spills etc that have washed in following the very heavy rain.
