Kuling Hole, Malham

This is just a heads up.
Went for a look down Kuling Hole today. In Boulder Hall the wooden cover on the scaffold frame over Schist Pot was rather rotten with debris on top. The wall underneath it was loose and despite a very careful closer inspection it collapsed. This filled in the hole at the top of the pitch which we excavated out but were unwilling to proceed any further. Anybody else going down should take care and be aware there is still more loose rubble at the pitch head.

Can anyone provide a history of the digging that went on?

PS of possible interest, a hole has appeared underneath the dry stone wall near the entrance. There is lot of loose debris from the wall and what looks like a sizeable void.
