Hello All,

Our club is thinking of doing the Tanne de Trois Betas - Diau traverse in late summer/early autumn 2016. 
Is anyone out there be able to recommend any simple gites/hostels/bunkhouses in the area ?  Roofed accommodation would be preferred but we wouldn't rule out camping.  Has anyone used the campsite at Usillon(?) south west of Thorens-Glieres ?

It's not especially close to either entrance, but then nowhere is close to both entrances and a certain amount of driving will be necessary wherever you stay. This offers a range of accommodation options, roofed and camping, and I would be happy to stay there again.

If you have time in the area, I thoroughly recommend a walk up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Tournette for its tremendous views across to Mont Blanc.
