Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone was planning any trips from SWCC HQ this coming weekend? I'm a provisional member and have yet to meet everyone in the SWCC so I thought I should post here to see if anyone is happy for me to tag along? Will pay for the inconvenience with beer! 

I just don't want to drive all the way from Southampton to find no one is around/or up for trip!

I'm being thick here, what does that mean? Don't bother turning up as it's overrun or there is a guaranteed trip?

Both: It will be busy.  If you do turn up you will almost be guaranteed to be asked to carry diving gear somewhere for someone.

Hi Duncan, what the other Duncan means is that there won't be many SWCC members around this weekend, other than those who happen to be CDG members. They will no doubt be preoccupied with their training camp and you might struggle to get a worthwhile caving trip.

If you can, try and make it for the SWCC committee weekend on 10th/11th July, a much better bet.

However, there might be other SWCC members who would line something up for you this weekend...anyone listening out there?

OK I will give this weekend a miss, don't fancy dragging air bottles up 'n' down a pitch, definitely the preserve of the specialist caver! 

I have signed up for the Yorkshire SRT trip, so will get some caving in later this month.
