The Cave Diving Story - Video

Not sure if this is the right board - it's about diving but a much broader appeal than just to divers - so mods please move elsewhere if needed.

I have just noticed that Sid Perou has just realised onto youtube the four part series he made for the BBC back in the late 80s - based on Martyn Farr's book 'The Darkness Beckons' they are a must watch series of videos. I've not watched them for a very long time and its good to have them back. Thanks Sid!

Thanks for posting these videos Steve. They brought back some memories. Thats me (on the left) and Ken Pearce diving into the Peak Cavern resurgence 2 mins into the second film. All the underwater footage was filmed in the canal section before Buxton Water Sump. The suits and rebreathers were from the Wookey Hole museum. Ken's was the only one that worked. My suit had a large tear between the legs requiring me to wear a wetsuit underneath and the facemask just let in loads of water so I had to hold my breath for the shot of me surfacing.

It was a brilliant day out. Later that afternoon I was clapperboard operator for the Ken Pearce interview about the Berger.
