As part of our Traffic Management Programme we are currently planning a closure of the sliproad onto the A465 from Gilwern, by the Navigation Inn.
The closure is intended to last for approximately 9 months.
The main reason for the closure is to construct the new Station Road tie in at Gilwern Junction. The closure will improve construction access to the south side of the Navigation Inn and will speed up the construction programme for these area of works.
The diversion for the closure is to follow the A4077 to Glanbaiden roundabout where at this point you will be able to travel east or west on the A465.
An additional lane has opened on the exit out of Gilwern onto Glanbaiden roundabout in anticipation of this intended closure to help potential additional queuing.
