CMC RAPPEL MANUAL by James A Frank and Donald E Patterson 1997 126 pp, lots of photos etc. Most of this book is on Rappelling or descending down a rope. There is only one chapter about getting back up. I liked the bit about rappelling through a window. It recommends shooting it out first with a machine gun. Never did find out what CMC stands for. USA 89 Army Caving Association 34 pp, 9 colour photos, 3 B&W photos, 5 loose surveys in the rear, location map etc. The object of this expedition was to promote friendly relations between the British Army cavers and our American counterparts. Not having read the report, so I cannot confirm this, but they did visit some caves in North Tennessee and Mammoth Cave. SB £3.00
