Coal Mining Film - 26 April 2006 - Somerset

Harptree History Society

The History Society will be showing on Wednesday April 26 a film which was commissioned by Radstock Museum. The museum has always sought to finds ways to record and preserve the history of the local mining industry and ‘Somerset Mining Memories' provides a fascinating and emotive way to tell this story. The film uses the words of local men and women who lived and worked in mining alongside archival film. Tim Bateman who directed the film will introduce it and explain some of the background to the making of it.

The film will be shown at West Harptree hall at 7.30pm with doors open at 7pm
