Hi Everyone

Mendip Cave Rescue are holding a rescue practice on Saturday the 6th of November in Swildon's hole.

Please be aware that the practise will involve a pitch haul up the 20ft pot.  We will try to keep the disruption to a minimum but this may mean this area of the cave will be very busy and you may have wait to descend or ascend the pot.

Update from Mendip Cave Rescue:

Dear fellow cavers

I am writing this to inform you of a change to the upcoming rescue
practice in Swildons Hole scheduled for the 6th November, and please pass this on to your members.

Due to the feedback on the number of trips expected this weekend, it has been decided to use the old 40' this should minimise the disruption but this may mean this area of the cave will be very busy and you may have wait to descend or ascend the pot.

NB with the new structure and insurance requirements the practice is limited to members of the rescue team.
