Hi guys I live in Ross and I have read numerous reports on certain mines in Penyard woods I have also read a very interesting report in the RFDCC newsletter which was published a long time ago about the exploration of these certain mines. I am very curious wether anyone has any information or experience in these mines. I have tried locating these mines using the grid references given in the news letter but i couldn't find them it might be that there filled in. Any information is greatly appreciated thanks.

I looked for these mines years ago, and had no more success in finding them. I believe the entrances have been lost. I think Roger Bailey would be the man to talk to, as it was very likely he, with his brother Laurence (deceased) who explored them back in the 70s. You would have to go along to a RFDCC social to see him, or PM me your email address and I'll pass it on to him with your request for information.
