Thanks again to everyone who came along to our Visualising Cave Sound workshop/experiment. In minutes you have created a massive and brilliant cave art archive ;) Hope you all had fun because I sure did!

I can't figure out how to make the attachments work so here's the link to a few photos and a collage of everyone's work (scanned and inverted - inverting the colours really brings out all the charcoal subtleties). You can zoom into it quite a bit and inspect each drawing from up close. https://photos.app.goo.gl/dxsAQv35BFCNWKSW7

There's still one more track left to listen, which we thought would be best not to play in case we scare you off! Here it is, the Sublingual Delusion: https://double-w.bandcamp.com/track/sublingual-delusion  :D Headphones advised.

We've had numerous responses to that track ranging from terror to bliss - oh, and complete ambivalence - mustn't forget that one. It was a tough one to put together, but it's growing on me after about a thousand plays. I can actually hum the tune now

There?s a tune?  :)

Do not listen to this late at night. You?ll end up dreaming that you are trapped in a dystopian nightmare, with a raucous cacophony of competing voices coming from every side, and not being able to move in any direction. There will be a mounting sense of dread, like sliding towards an abyss and falling to your doom. Horrible.
And then you wake up, put on the BBC News and realise it wasn?t a dream.  ;)

Seriously though, a thought-provoking piece and interesting to see the visual interpretations too. For a culture that is immersed in sound like never before, I don?t think we are very good at really listening, either to others or the world around.

'Thought-provoking' we like!

I wrote a short essay to go with this soundwork which does touch on that very topic:

And yes, it was a Clanger. It struggled a lot but eventually we got a sack over its head and stuffed it in the back of the van ;)

A combination of spookiness, being near Mark Wright, being underground and - and yes there is a clanger
