Does anyone know the location of Ogof Gylfu (Scallop Cave) - its somewhere near Waterfall cave in the Clydach but I don't know if it is in the gorge or the quarry or someplace else.

I probably have exactly the same info as yourself, as the only record I can find is in volume 11 of the Cwmbran CC. The survey there gives plenty of clues, it is quoted as been 95 metres downstream of Tuck's Rift, it is shown below the road and above the Clydach. There is only one cave on record in that area which is Overhang Cave, but this seems to be a fossil resurgence. From reading the Cwmbran journal Ogof Gylfu seems to be an active resurgence, should be easy to identify after the recent weather.... The survey in the Cwmbran journal was drawn by Keith Jones, probably a good contact to make in your search.
