Friday crowd

From other threads here I understand that some people are free on Fridays.

This is extremely vague and non committal posting, just to see if there is any vague indications of interest.
*if* on the off-chance I happened to be in the Llanrwst area Friday 19th Nov (during working day), would any of you Aditnow refugees or ukcaving mine enthusiast want to go for a below surface wander (probably srt?).

If this does stray into any CAL managed sites I will request permission for myself (any others please do the same). Roy not sure if you're reading this but I get a blank response from many pages in CAL website, not sure if just me though, in particular here: the access one

This is my fault - I tried to upload some revised pages last night and failed. For some reasons the uploads just timed out. Sadly I started it as a batch and only discovered later when everything had failed. :)  This left leaving empty files on the server. Hopefully will fix this before tonight!

OK, increasingly confident I'll be in Llanrwst area on Friday 19th, not 100% confirmed, but looking very likely.
I *might* be making a flying visit on my way up via the Peak on Thurs 18th (although really not sure yet)

So far only 1 person seems up for joining

Purposely not sharing the specific trip name here (for a reason, sorry), but expect a little easy SRT
Any other volunteers??

My Thursday in the Peak plans seem to have crashed and burned, but my Friday near Llanrwst is on!

Easy srt and probably deeper than wellies (but not a "wet" trip) so srt kit and change afterwards needed
There's myself and one other aditnow refugee

Last calls...  for any takers. Friday 19th. Anyone else??

Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Ended up as a solo trip. Since I had a plan (1914?) and compass, I'd originally intended to look for the alternative route through 23tfm level and look out for the horse, but since it was my first trip in there I decided to keep it simple and stick to the trade-route. Now I know what it feels like to be some ore.

Sure many of you recognise it, and it's probably obvious in the tread already - but don't name it please!

EDIT: trying to resize image, will repost it again

Will post again if in similar situation to see if any of you AditNow refugees fancy coming. Maybe next time???

Indeed! This has whet my appetite. I drove to that mine the north loop coming along the lake from the North and back the "normal" way to try to get a feel for it. Pretty steep (1st gear hills), gates to open/close on the N route. Wouldn't want to try it in frost (or snow), not unless I was driving something more robust than the old Zafira. I'd also planned a surface walk starting Hafna car park but time went fast that day and I also needed to get back. Planning to return for the surface walk and an underground one of some kind too. Not yet sure when, but the sooner the better.
