It's been ongoing for a couple of days now and sounds like quite a complex operation. Best of luck to all the teams involved, and wishing the casualty a swift recovery!

Wow, that's a big rescue from OFD. Anyone know whereabouts in the system the unfortunate caver fell?

Well done to all the rescue people involved!

And the predictable comments have started too. One even compares cavers to Insulate Britain FFS.

Better than some previous comparisons. I wouldn't bother with the comments...

I'm almost tempted to register for Mail Online, against my better judgement, just to give them some shit.

Just caught the last part of an interview by Adrian Childs with Bill Whitehouse BCRC on the lunchtime news.  The bit I heard came across well.

CRO asked the list for volunteers to attend S Wales at 06.00 this morning.  This was last night and they very soon had the numbers they required and withdrew the request.

I imagine rotation of teams was a major consideration.  Hope all ends well.

Well done everyone involved.  Big operation with little, by the sounds of it, fuss.
