Sat -> Sat and staying after / before EuroSpeleo

I've just realised (been informed!)  that EuroSpeleo lasts from Saturday one week to Saturday the next. I'd assumed that it would go Friday to Sunday to maximise time EuroSpeleo time for those of us who don't have enough holiday to go for the whole week! So logically I guess if we can only take a few days off it's better to centre around the first weekend for maximum EuroSpeleo fun.

Can we stay at the centre Friday night before it starts or the Saturday night it finishes?

This is one for the organisers of Eurospeleo. Your best bet however would probably be to volunteer to help them set up and or strip down.

Dalesbridge will not be open for general public guests on that Friday at the start or the Saturday at the finish.

JJ what do you mean by this.  I have bought a ticket, including camping.  Can I not drive up on the Friday night, pitch my tent, ready for Saturday morning GO ?

By the way I was going to volunteer a day or 2 but can't see a link on the main web site for it. How do you volunteer please?  :)

I meant exactly what I said. Dalesbridge as a business is closing on the morning of Friday 12 August and reopening on the afternoon of Sunday 21st August after it is handed back in a fully clean and usable state.

Between those times the whole site is let to the BCA and the Eurospeleo team.

Dalesbridge is NOT running Eurospeleo nor is it responsible for how the Eurospeleo event is run. Any queries therefore regrading Eueospeleo should not be directed at Dalesbridge. I just do not know the answers  :cautious:

Dalesbridge has however agreed to sponsor what will hopefully be a great event.  ::)

Hi rich

An excellent question.

You will appreciate that there is a lot of setting up and taking down to be done on site. However we are happy for pre-booked delegates to camp on the Friday evening provided a) they don't expect any more than a field and some toilets b) they keep away from the site until the evening on Friday. Equally delegates may camp on the Saturday night at the end provided they understand that a) they must have left the site completely by 8am on Sunday morning b) there will be minimal facilities available.

There's going to be a party on the Sat night and you expect everyone off-site by 8am? I admire your optimism  ;)

Okay hmm, if its not on that last weekend, I may have to get a refund, I think I will still be in Spain on the first weekend and I will have lots of work to catch up on so I won't be able to make it during the week.
