Please - anyone who uses Flickr - how do I now post something from Flickr to here? What do I put between the

Easy-peasy!

On your Flickr page select the photo you want, click on the arrow icon (bottom right corner) and select the HTML code in the lower box which should already be highlighted in blue. Cut and paste that to here... it'll be quite a long script of text, like this....

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/42030652@N05/6877354971" title="rescue by Chrispy_caver, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7180/6877354971_ccc6b7ac11_z.jpg" width="436" height="640" alt="rescue"></a>

Then highlight and cut-and-paste just the bit between https and ending .jpg

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/42030652@N05/6877354971" title="rescue by Chrispy_caver, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7180/6877354971_ccc6b7ac11_z.jpg" width="436" height="640" alt="rescue"></a>

Cut-and-paste this bit and put it inside square bracket IMG boxes, [ img ] and [ / img ] (remove the spaces)

[ img ]https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7180/6877354971_ccc6b7ac11_z.jpg[ / img ]

It should then post like this:

Wow, they really don't want to make it easy do they. I've tried various things, the one they want you to use is:

Go to flickr and click on the photo, in the bottom right is a bent arrow pointing right and if you hover over it it says "Share". Click on that and box pops up, if you click "BB Code" you can copy what is in the bottom box and paste it directly in here. The problem with this is the max size you get is 320 and it expects people to click the image to see the bigger version on flickr.

An alternative is to click the arrow on the far right "Download all sizes" then click "View All Sizes" select the size you want and then right click on the image and depending on your browser choose "copy image location" or "image properties" and get the url of the image and paste between the img tags

Cross psoted with cap'n chris but gives an alternative

Thanks, both.

I knew I needed the url beginning farm# but couldn't find it anywhere. My blind spot was that, since I was wanting to upload to ukc, I didn't expect to click on something labelled "download". But once I saw the "view all sizes" I was on familiar ground and happy. Thanks  (y)
