Was looking for surveys last night and this morning on cavemaps.org, quite a few of the links to surveys were coming up with message 404 'link not found'.

I have also had the same experience, but not for all surveys. Some still come up.

I'm sure Mr.Mapper will be along with the right explanation soon, but just had a quick look and it looks like certain surveys are linked to full size versions when they have not been uploaded (possibly because the clubs/people in question have not given permission)- a possible minor oversight..?

Yes. The problem arose when I uploaded lots of new stuff and messed things up in the process. I think it's all fixed now, so if you spot any problems, let me know the specific details.

There's some very interesting new surveys on there if you have a rummage. Here's three examples:
