No! Dont do it, 9.5k wont go far for a house anyway, keep the beast - live in it, under it, on it but dont sell - you will regret it for years. It is so much more than just a vehicle.

Stu,

Have you lost your mind?!!!!!!!! (of course you have)  ;)

....you've only had it 5 minutes.

o_O

Mine is old, rusty, falling apart and parked up most of the time. It certainly costs me more than i care to own up to but.....
......I would never part with it!

Na, sell it before someone nicks it...   o_O

no ones gonna steal it! thiefs dont want landrovers, they want exspencive fast cars that they can try to run away from the law in!
they arnt gonna stand a chance outrunning a police car in a landrover, especially not ours lol.
Thiefs wont know a good car if they saw one,so they will overlook a landrover as not being good enough, despite them being the best.

Not quite Ditzy - AFAIK the Defender is the most stolen vehicle in the UK due to ease of dismantling and subsequent resale value of the parts.

Agreed, unlikely to be used in a high speed getaway from a diamond heist, however  :)

ours used to do about 60mph going down hill...
but since we have done some work on it we can get it up to 75 on a hill.

Dunno, I used to have a Frontera and was stopped on the motorway by the plod using the numberplate recognition camera. Apparently the old Fronty had done a ram-raid in a previous life!

my old Land Rover seemed to do much the same top speed in any of the upper 3 gears.... smoke emission, gear whine and fuel consumption fluctuated a bit but actual performance, not really
