Actually I'm absolutly not new to caving,
but new to the world of british caves.
Having some personal links to the UK, I'm interessed to earn some view to your cavers world 

I'm from the very far north of germany (danish border), but active in the Harz Mountains, Lower Saxony. We have a small but active grotto there and a lot of geological pretty interesting caves.
My interesst is more on the geological side, but digging and gear development.
Beeing a "blackleg" in the point of "caving purity" I'm also active in mine history and the documentation of old mines. This is a complicated subject in germany, mostly illegal or barely legal...

I you visit Cwmystwyth in Wales, as the mine owner I have just put a new "Welcome" mat outside the main level

I remember being registered in a "mine explorer forum" around 2005,
sadly slipped to the side of forgotten darkness (went to sea after that time).
Maybe it was the prodecessor?
