Wondering how the air is down there at the moment - thinking of restarting the dig in the mud at the end of NE passage while Crem's closed for lambing - anyone been down lately? Always get some bad air at the dig face :fart: but some in the main passage would be nice :)

Last trip I had there, in the autumn - October I think - there was definitely a feeling of breathlessness in most areas despite the new grill lid and a good airflow in the shaft (probably because it was very windy that day). Like Knotlow, etc there seems to be no real pattern to air quality - sometimes OK, sometimes not.

I spoke to Dave Webb of Masson CG/DCA a couple of weeks ago, he confirmed that there are still bad air problems down there.

In contrast, I spoke to bog last night. He went there recently and didn't notice any bad air! :?

- sounds like it's fairly random

Air was fine throughout the cave last night. The dig looks worse than I remember though - the thing I had thought was ceiling was lying on the floor :(

Don't foresee it being a regular project for our lot. Worth a proddle by anyone looking for a project, though :weirdo:

Hows it going at Crem (I assume thats crematorium pot on bradda moor).

Is it being dug regularly (its SUSS isnt it.)

It is indeed crematorium pot and SUSS. Still being dug, but closed for lambing at the minute. Little unclear where to go at the minute, but once it reopens we should hopefully have a new winch and make a bit more progress.

We'll meet the Bagshawe group in the miles of unexplored passage in a few months.....hopefully :D :D :D

use the quote button instead of reply - you can then edit the bit you want to quote (this will add the users name to the quote)

if you highlight any text you have written they hit the little quite button here ie between underline and code it will put it in a box but without the name. for instance if you were quoting and external reference.

Wish me luck for the meeting tonight. :uhoh:
