If you are caving in The Dales anytime soon, bring cash with you as the garage is under construction and the cash machine at the Co Op was stolen (well nearly) last night.

I suspect the nearest cash point to Ingleton now is probably Barclays in High Bentham. Which is where I'll be later when on the way to the pub!

Inglesport: With no cash machine in the village for the foreseeable future don't be caught out, cash back available with every transaction however large or small.

This must be a new criminal fashion. Or a revival of an old one. The cash machine was stolen from Waitrose in Oxford recently after a big stolen Landrover smashed through the wall containing it.

How much cash is in those machines? ?3000?  Such a lot of repair work for that amount of cash!  Hope they are caught.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they all contain a device for blasting the contents with purple dye if they were ever moved without first being dosarmed? If so then its all pointless anyway.

They typically have a Dyepack in them, as do Cashiers/Tellers drawers in banks. You would think they have a way to disable it though, given the trouble it must take to remove one of these.

Well it wasN'T cavers because a) they are better at getting into places and b) are better with ropes so wouldn't get the cash machine stuck under a car!  ;)

A spelling error in a post about an error in a post never fails to amuse me

Good evening, Ian, I've looked at your comments and I think that maybe I'm missing the point; sorry (I've had a glass or two of wine), but would you care to elucidate this/these error(s)?
