Trying to source some neoprene

Can anyone recommend the best place to buy a 60 cm x 30 cm sheet of 4 mm neoprene, single lined? It must be the very stretchy variety as I need to make a new neck seal for a drysuit.

Or does anyone have a bit I could buy from you?

I have a roll I bought years ago which seems to be in good nick. It might be too thick. It is in the garage loft at present. I haven't forgotten about those hoses but I found when I checked that most if not all are various types of direct feed hoses for dry suits.

Not got any nearer with this one yet - I'm starting to panic as I need to get a drysuit up & running for a cave project as soon as lockdown ends. I really would welcome recommendations on where to buy a bit of stretchy neoprene (as described in the O.P.).

Or - mrodoc; did you manage to find that neoprene in the loft?

Check your local thrift store. It's off-season for watersports so a lot of neopreen suits are dropped off at your local thrift store.

You can buy one there and start cutting :)

Thanks Leclused - but I live in the Yorkshire Dales; we don't have thrift stores selling wetsuits! They would almost certainly be double lined anyway but I need single lined to make a neckseal.

Thanks Ian P - but ?20 delivery charge seems a but steep for just a bit of neoprene. I'd really prefer 4 mm as well, for home build.

Thanks Benfool - but I specifically want the neoprene rather than a ready made up seal (as I find commercially available ones don't fit that well, unless you actually go and explain requirements in person).

Anyone got any other ideas?

Did consider that but I'm not sure their neoprene is particularly stretchy. Might try it if other irons in the fire don't come good. But thanks for the suggestion.

Otter Watersports?  Purveyors of dry suits to the CDG.*  Mine has neoprene seals.  I'm sure they'd sort you out.

* other purveyors are available, as are other diving organisations (they're just not as good).

I was going to suggest Otter watersports- they are in Bradford. Thats where I got my drysuit and they were really helpful.

Have you tried Pennine Fabrics in Bentham? If they don't regularly have it, they will probably know where to get it.
