I reported to the moderator a post which was made by someone that appears to be engaged in vandalism, against the Caving Code, and even illegal activities, the post is still up a week later and I have heard nothing.

CAVING CODE

1 Cave with care and thought for the environment.

2 Disturb nothing whether living or geological.

3 Avoid touching formations.

4 Keep to marked routes and never cross conservation tapes.

5 Take nothing but photographs.

6 Do not pollute the cave, leave nothing behind.

[gmod]Hi LarryFatcat. Several of the moderators did look at your reported post. I apologise that they did not get back to you personally. There is nothing wrong with the post itself and it breaches no rules on this forum nor is there any indication of any illegal activities in the post. We cannot take action based on somebodies word that they 'appear' to be acting irresponsibly underground based on unseen posts to Face Book. If they start doing anything like that on here then be assured we will act. [/gmod]

I am concerned that more persons will offer trips to this person unaware that they are potentially presenting more locations to engage in nefarious activities (as one other poster had done already)
I will PM you

Not having seen the thread /post involved,Can we have some clarity/exposure on said activitys, so as a caring and freindly community we can help to educate the people involved? Surely this is the best course of action.

You're having a public bitch, on a forum, about a post on Facebook? Unless it's the UKC page itself, no-one can do anything about that, and even if it is, you need to report it on that page to save people trawling through every post to find the issue. - Note - I'm not a moderator or admin for UKC either on FB or here.

How about you actually talk to the person involved? They may simply be unaware and need a little prod in the right direction.
