Dear Mike

The parcel has finally arrived.  Not sure why you sent it by Hermes.  They are a pain in the arse.  It would have been quicker and cheaper to send by Royal Mail.  ?2.09 instead of ?3.95. Both offer compensation of ?20.00

With the Royal Mail I have trained the postman to ether leave a parcel next door or at the depot if I am out.  Jackie the Hermes delivery girl turned out to be a real Jobs Worth.  Although there was a notice on the door of No 35 saying parcel could be left at No 34 she said the she could only deliver go the address stated and that if she called on No 34 I would still have to go next door to No 35  to receive the parcel.  Also if I was not there then my wife could not sign for it.  As it happens I was at No 34, watching the TV.  Eventually it was delivered 3 days later at 11 40 am instead of 9.30 am.  A morning wasted.  Needless to say I signed for it as Robin Hood.
