The first Czech Grand discovered in Montenegro

First, Czech speleologists discovered a cave, surpassing its depth level of 1,000 m, we have managed to find in Montenegro. It happened on the fourth expedition, organized ZO Dry Deep in the mountains of Maganik , which took place in the period from 21.7 to 11.8. The entrance was found last year, when we managed to descend to - 500 m. On 4 eighth with a team composed of Dvorak, H?sl, Matthew managed to deepen the system up to 1027 m and found another loose sequel.

The cave is located near the mesa craziness of litter in the wild and difficult terrain. Her character identifies significant tectonics in horizontal layers of limestone, creating on Maganiku and distance of several shafts and dark sections, less soluble limestone, which meanders contrast, there are long, with a minimum slope. In some passages of old it was located at the alpine karst rich stalactite decoration, represented mainly blood-red sinters.

The procedure was carried out with the help of a bivouac at a depth of 340 m, which is located on the terrace of the old sediments massive two hundred meter above the bottom of the shaft. During the process, we unfortunately could not find a suitable location for a second bivouac, which was one of the reasons why we research into the deepest so far left arm. End points are the first bivouac already quite remote and floods would return route, going largely for active flow has become practically impossible and highly risky. Rest of the time we have therefore paid the amount laid horizontally palates that intersect younger vertical branches and provide the opportunity to continue in both directions.

Length of mapped parts is 2820 m, the expected duration of the discoveries exceeds 3 km.
