Check out this - dont know if it will be dull or not, listening as I type and they're on about soil.

On the subject of next Mondays program - anyone know which cave he went in??

And where are these five species of bats? In six or so years of regular caving in the dales I've only ever seen all of one bat in the dales! I saw more in one weekend when I went to South Wales (Draenen & Aggy).. :?

Was quite good actually (you can 'listen again' via the net at the BBC site)

They went down Calf Holes, which came accross quite well on radio. I suppose the noise of a (wet) cave is a big part.

It was intespersed with comments from various cavers around the world. Someone was talking about having to wade chest deep though a cave full of croc's. :shock: :shock: :shock:

Then they found a bat and painted its genitals with love dust.
