Longest limestone caves in Cornwall

In an attempt to extend the current record for the above, a site in East Cornwall was pushed last weekend but failed to reacho reach the required length (20m) to beat the current length. As we have so far been unable to trace the landowner the exact site is not given here, although nearby woods appear to be owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. I had been told many years ago that local kids used to explore a cave in the area which contained stals, which doesn't match the description of what we saw - a tight muddy tube leading to a very tight squeeze, followed by a chamber with no real way on. Not surveyed on this occasion but length estimated at 16m.

Most of the previously recorded caves in the county have been in the fairly extensive outcrop around Cremyll opposite Plymouth, this site is in another area & is in a bed of limestone too narrow to be shown on the published geological maps, although it is referred to in the geological memoirs & BGS unpublished sheets.

Now there's a rare thing - an extension to a limestone cave in Cornwall!  Well done Alasdair, if you were responsible.  I know of a sea cave at Trevone which is in a narrow bed of limestone, accessible at very low tides,  which is a steeply ascending tube about 6ft in diameter with flowstone and a few stals, but that doesn't count as it's clearly not karstic.
