Wanted: A place to stay next week to go Caving

I've tried 3 huts, 2 in the Welsh valleys and one in Yorkshire, and there's no room in the Inn.

I want to go caving next week, for about 5 days, so a hut would have been nice (charging batteries etc). but after having tried a few tonight, i've had replies from all saying in the best possible way thanks but not yet. [which echo's with the club i'm a member of, so there's no bad blood or grinding crowbars whatsoever].

If anyone knows of any other ideas like places to camp that would be great.

Dalesbridge and Orcaber campsites both near Austwick and both very popular.  I'm sure there must be some facilities for charging at each.

Although club accommodation is very limited all the caves are open for business and hopefully now that the kids are back to school the weather will be fine.

Camping is now available again at Helwith Bridge.  I was there a few weeks ago and the inn and adjacent campsite are fully open.

There is also the ironically named Hotel Paradiso at the Helwith Bridge pub.

Ancient Briton pub has camping close to the SWCC (& even mentions caving on their website):

Absolute Adventure, Rhongyr Isaf (bottom of Penwyllt Hill) have camping. Steve Rose on 01639 730518 or 07760378846  http://www.absoluteadventure.co.uk/

I understand SWCC has safe cave key collection available.

Easy walk to Pen y Cae Inn - bit longer to Brit.

Except Birkwith area?

Sorry should have said the majority of caves are open for business.  The Birkwith area is problematic.

I noticed a no access on the cncc website cor Little hull Pot today?

Thanks for flagging this up.  We're reviewing all the listings on the site which were changed due to the pandemic.  Many were opened up as soon as lockdown eased so there was plenty of caving options open.  You should find most reverting back to pre-covid status soon.
