Wet Weather Forecast

Just looking at various weather forecasts for the northern Peak District on Sunday lunchtime, particularly between Glossop and Stocksbridge, and it looks like it might be dramatically wet! Castleton is currently forecast for 47mm of rain, and Sheffield is 75mm - it won't be windy so it'll be slow-moving. Might be worth putting off that walk over Woodhead. But also if that much gets dumped in Castleton, Winnats could be very tricky, and the village could get a bit damp too. Pity it's not on Saturday though, as we could use that much down below on Sunday!

Judging by recent forecasts from various sources in the past few weeks, I would wait until Friday evening to check the most recent forecast and check again Saturday morning...

Didn't think it was going to be that bad. For example:

It's maybe a bit too early to cancel plans, just yet . . . .  ;)

Typical - I'm supposed to have clients in P8 that day! Fingers crossed it does not arrive as forecast. Good old English summers.
