The upstairs wash basin cold tap makes a damned awful racket when it's turned on. A bit like the pipes are ready to shake themselves off the wall. Since you lot no sod all about canoeing , how about turning your talents to this little problem! Cheers

Yeah, and I can eskimo roll with me bare 'ands!

It sounds to me like the washer part of the tap is a bit worn and loose, therefore 'oscillating wildly' when the water passes over it making the racket.
