The Afon Mellte flows into the cave.  It's name is translated as "lightning", referring to the speed of flooding.

To be fair, it also flows out of the cave. It can be done as a through trip.

(Very quickly in those conditions, I deem.)

Thats if you dont caught up in the large amonts of debri that gets carried in.
