Is this the first full weekend closure of 2020?

Readers may not be aware there has been a dispute between Costain and Welsh Government as to who is responsible for the slippage and budget busting.

I gather this has been settled by Costain paying and WG accepting late delivery.  The consequence seems to be fewer weekends and over-time working to save money via a longer timescale.  Another effect is new lane closures during the day midweek now, with traffic lights, which is leading to long tailbacks.

WG issued a statement predicting the project would be mainly done by end-2020.

Costain issued a statement about the impact on their annual profit, predicting the project would be mainly done by mid-2021 following adverse media comment and share price plummeting in late 2019.  The price has now more than recovered.  Quite a roller-coaster for anyone with the stomach for it:

From the caving perspective, as Costain have left the awkward middle bit of the Clydach Gorge until last, it means the caves there like Ogof Capel might remain closed for another year at least.
