Apparently there was a call out in Peak on Sunday evening.

2 cavers went into JH and planned to do the through trip out of Peak.
Having no survey or description with them they became lost. :roll:
to be fair - I dont think I could do it without some description with me but then Id make sure I had something (or usually someone) with me.

They ended up going up the assault course (poor buggers) and even up the ropes in there. Realising they were lost they decided to come back out JH - but unbeknown to them some of their SRT kit had dropped out of the tackle bag somewhere in the cave (quite how some bits can drop off and not others I dont know) Search parties found them some time around midnight and they exited through speedwell.

You've basically got the story right. Still - we got a free boat ride through Speedwell out of it!

They were found in The Workshop making their way back out via JH at around midnight. They were then escorted out by team DCRO members via Speedwell.

It was very lucky they were able to exit under their own steam - they were pretty tired (not surprisingly) and one was a bit cold.
