They need to call in proper cave divers, but as usual they don't think of these resources.

Anyway I hope they are all found safe and well, I just feel those divers are out of their comfort zone.

Good they are still alive, though I know it would be a scary experience for those kids.

Interesting it includes a description of the cave which reads...

At the end of the marked path the passage enters a series of chambers, boulder collapses and boulder chokes where route finding can be difficult,? it says. After a few hundred meters, the cave narrows to a passage 2 meters wide and 3 meters high, it says. After that area, the cave splits off into different directions, including several that lead to other chambers, pools of water or places with high ?avens,? shafts that reach the surface.

On the BBC they say they are sending army to look into those, but I wonder if they are taking advantage normal experienced cavers who could have it rigged quickly as they know what they are doing? I hope they are making use of caving resources.

There was a DCRO post in my FB feed indicating they were supplying some gear and diving resource, so yes I think they are.

Wednesday 4.42 pm The latest news on this rescue is on Aljazeera - Sky channel 513.  It appears the cave is 8 km long and so far the Thai Seals have only got 3 km in.  They are also searching the jungle for an alternative entrance.  Everybody is hoping that the boys have found a high level passage to escape from the flood water.  A British team of top divers has just arrived.

He happened to be on a caving holiday out there. From the posts we have seen it'll make a change from being attacked by leeches but come to think of jounalists though perhaps not ;)
