    CRIMS - The Movie

Hot on the heals of version 5.2, comes 5.3. The shiny new feature in 5.3 is the Personnel Deployment Record. To gain an overview of the system, here's a link to a short film.

    Cave Rescue Incident Management System

Version 5.2 of my Cave Rescue Incident Management System (CRIMS) is now undergoing Beta testing by Gloucester Cave Rescue Group. Thanks to feedback from Paul Taylor and members of GCRG, significant improvements/enhancements have been implemented in this version. This version has a revamped...

My book "A series of short passages"

I received my copy today and have only skimmed through, but from what I've seen so far, I'm really looking forward to reading it. It's definitely my short of book. Love the writing style.

    Cave Rescue Incident Management System

Valid concerns. I attended a GCRG training session last evening where my system was put through its paces by a number of people who were using it for the first time, and it passed the test. Most of the functionality of my system has been implemented using Excel formulae so it can be maintained...

    Cave Rescue Incident Management System

Mike is correct. Sarcall is used to send out text messages to rescue team members who then respond stating their availability and travel time to the incident. My system manages the deployment of resources during an actual rescue.

Thanks. Most of the functionality has been achieved using formulae, but there is a fair amount of code too.

My Excel-based Cave Rescue Incident Management System (CRIMS) has now been adopted by Gloucester Cave Rescue Group. The system allows easy management of available resources and deployment of personnel/equipment, as well as maintaining an incident log. It can deal with up to 24 teams of 12...

This sort of thing exasperates me!

Yes, I remember that. It would have been right at the start and would have been recorded on VHS. I will have to see if I can dig out the tape, it's got to be around somewhere. Thanks for the memory. Keith

This sort of thing exasperates me!

What do I get from having a wider audience? When I created my YouTube channel in 2008, I had no intention of uploading anything but a few clips I had taken on various caving trips. The intended audience was me and the people who featured in the clips. Over time, very gradually my films got...

This sort of thing exasperates me!

I do feel some responsibility for the plethora of over-sensationalised, over-dramatised, cringeworthy caving videos currently garnering huge views on YouTube. In fact, let's be honest, it's probably all my fault. When I uploaded my ‘Tight Cave-Larger Caver' videos, they were only intended as a...

Return to Aquamole - The Film

Thanks once again to everyone that requested a link to view the film. Thanks also for your wonderful comments. They mean a lot. However, I can only accept a small amount of the credit. The whole enterprise would not have been possible without the help and support of the following people...
