A group in front of me last week rigging the last pitch in Alum managed to dislodge a largesih block close to the P Hangers.
Decided to give it a miss after that so not sure how safe or not the area of rock is now supporting those hangers.
Thought it was worth a mention. :coffee:
Oh and...
Amazed to find a Casio watch Near Groundsheet Junction yesterday. Looking sorry for itself and may have been flooded time and time again where it had floated too or was placed. Could be interesting to see if fires up again with some TLC. Wonder if anyone can to put a time to when it was lost or...
So back to why is caving on the decline? I think I have found another reason apart from all that personal cost of SRT gear for young and low waged people and people being banned on web sites.
After years of doing other stuff then it taking more years to get the shoulder back into caving order...
Is Caving heading to becoming a Spectator Sport? :coffee:

Sid Perou has been uploading a great deal of his film work recently on UTUBE with links off his Facebook page. You could do far worse than take a look. It will either inspire you or stop you in your caving tracks poste haste. :coffee:
Having recently purchased a rope at 33 mts to allow for shrinkage to 30 mts (not measured in front of me) and then got it wet I decided to measure it that day on getting home. Came out at 28.8 Mts. I wonder how this stacks up with other cavers experiences? :coffee:
Some of you old lags will know that the NCC worked on the basis that you would never join a caving group that would have you has a member (CNCC etc). I have been a NCC member most of my adult life and was a bit pissed off that third party insurance crept into the caving World.
