Where has he said he’s inexperienced? The through trip is very straightforward! Anyone who’s srt component will not have a issue.

If your objective is the through trip? Just follow your nose. Nice easy walk up, entrance easy to find. Enjoy

How regularly do these events happen?

Do they have a website? Quite fancy going to the next event. Take it it’s organised by the local caving club? Is that also the same for the event at fort barchon?

only stayed a few weeks ago. Real shame if it has. Cant see it being closed for long, especially with peak season approaching

Update 21/05/2023 Boat is free and set up on one way system. Is far from perfect however works as intended. Does seem to be taking on a bit of water now. I’ve emptied it today. Not sure if it’s the previous repair what’s failed.

Basically how it’s been for the past few months it’s a one way system, as if you pull the rope the other way the knot gets jammed in the pulley. It needs a complete new line putting in to solve the issue and be tied to both ends of the canoe (as Tseralo said) The other issue is that now it’s...

It’s most probably jammed In the pulley on the far side again. From the knot off the boat to the main line. Will see if I can sort it at the weekend👍

Is the boat still afloat? The rope will be jammed in the pulley again unless the boat crossed over the lines and tangled it’s self
