CRTT - No rope of Croesor 1st Pitch

Probably not the place to ask, but it's sort of related. Would anyone be up for a trip through Croesor on the 18th of May? I'm comfortable with SRT, just don't know the mine or how to navigate through 👍🏻

Pioneers Beneath the Peak: Cave diving exploration in the Peak District

Got mine in the post yesterday (after the recommendation during the Derbyshire comittee meeting). Not yet had a proper read, but a quick scan through tells me it'll be a good read!

This cave NOT is on access land.

Every time i see this on the CNCC website, I wonder if it is meant to be "this cave IS NOT on access land"? I know it's a silly grammar thing, but it irks me.

A few shots from this weekend in OFD2. Just phone shots, so quality isn't super great.

A random one taken of white lady cave in Wales. Pre-dive, but post multi-trip journey carting in dive equipment. Lovely phreatic tube!

Lake District Quarry - Zip line plans

I've seen similar things like this have been setup in Wales, and the lake district already have a via Ferrara setup at Honister. I'm curious to know what people's thoughts are about stuff like this? Is it good for the mines? I.e. keeps them open and 'safe' for visitors. Or does it cause more...

    Wezzit - Somewhere Peaky?

I certainly lean on other peoples experience and information, so will happily feed back if I go for a nosey and find out anything worth noting.

    Wezzit - Somewhere Peaky?

A bit more internet search. Might save someone the trip haha. I appreciate the help folks 👍🏻

    Wezzit - Somewhere Peaky?

Awesome. Really appreciate the snippet. It does sound about right. Although disappointing to hear it doesn't seem much if a dive. Maybe one for when I'm reeeeaallly bored 😂

    Wezzit - Somewhere Peaky?

So I think I've found it. Ticknall lime pits (South Derbyshire). Can't see any exact photos to match, but looks very similar. CDG seem to have something related to it, but I'm not a member to view the article. https://cavedivinggroup.org.uk/tag/ticknall-lime-pits/ This would also tie up with...

    Wezzit - Somewhere Peaky?

Ha I'd already tried that and found the same results. Quite the mystery so far!

    Wezzit - Somewhere Peaky?

A bit random, but I've seen this photo online, tagged as "Peak District" but nothing else to describe or locate. Wondering if anyone here has an inkling where this could be? P.s. it may not even be in the peaks. -

Anyone able to show me around coniston copper mines?

Awesome. I've had a few people reach out which is much appreciated. Unsure when I'll next be up in Cumbria, but most likely Feb-Mar time so may come knocking then. Thank you folks!

Anyone able to show me around coniston copper mines?

Ah didn't realise it was pre-rigged. Thanks for the offer 😊

Anyone able to show me around coniston copper mines?

Arguably, I am relatively inexperienced, although hopefully make up for some of that with "good attitude"? Comfortable with SRT, particularly after a recent refresher with CNCC course, but not rigged anything myself so that's a missing component I suspect.

Anyone able to show me around coniston copper mines?

I have zero information on possible routes. Or location of the entrance haha. Plus I'd likely be there on my Todd, so ideally join up with someone who knows the lay of the land.

Anyone able to show me around coniston copper mines?

As a Cumbrian who sadly lives in Birmingham, I'm yet to go back up to explore the Cumbrian mines. I'm periodically up in Cumbria to visit family, and wonder if some kind hearted folk might be up for showing me around the mines some time?
