    Fuel in Hawes

The 24 hr card payment machine at the fuel station in Hawes is currently (Thursday) not processing card payments, so if you’re travelling to or from the dales it’s probably best not to rely on it for filling up……

    Poseidon spares

For those who fettle their own Poseidon Cyklon valves, you may like to know there is currently someone on eBay selling large amounts of service kits, o rings, valve seats etc. at reasonable prices. Might pay to stock up on such things if you happen to use them!

    Poseidon mouthpiece

Before I go wild and splash out the last of the central heating oil fund on a mouthpiece does anyone happen to have a Cyklon mouthpiece going spare/cheap? As in the rubber bit you stick in your mouth? One of mine has a big tear in it which isn’t ideal.. Yours hopefully!

    Little Monkey (Bif) appreciation!

It’s always easy to moan, so for a change some good news! I foolishly managed to flood my FilthyEdna and Bif couldn’t have been more helpful with suggestions on how best to dry it and fix it! Really good support with it. So cheers Jon, and if anyone is after a new lamp I can highly recommend...

Encouraging and enthusing children to try caving

As a long time caver I?d love to encourage my daughter who is 9 to come along on some easy trips! An outing yesterday had mixed results but was mostly positive! Main worries seemed to be cold feet and self confidence! I guess my question is, what are parents top tips for firing and...

Stake Pot area Lancaster Hole potential warning

Evening, Whilst picking a route through the stake pot Boulder choke area at stream level today, signs of what appeared to be recent collapse were noted. Whilst things appeared to have settled down, clearly it?s wise to be cautious as despite this being a well travelled area it has obviously...

    Layering V Furry suit

I have a feeling this has been asked before but.. I?m tending slightly towards the idea of layered up clothing rather than a furry as a compromise and for a little more tailored climate control on longer trips. What are folks using as trousers? Sallopete wise a lot of stuff seems rather bulky...

Sleets Gill - Rather specific request for info
