    Entrances around treak cliff hillside

Yes, top one I think. Think there were planks across the pool when we had a look.

    Entrances around treak cliff hillside

Wayne was always interested in that whole area. We did have a look at that interesting hole in the hanging valley. From my vague memory it was interesting but very muddy, with some signs that others might have been working there.

    Right to roam

Huge tracts of CROW land have exclusions for dogs - unless on public footpaths. Virtually all of the Dark Peak.

How should I cut my rope?

Looks interesting and I've enjoyed playing with the what can I rig tool! Re. Passing knots - plenty of times you can (with planning, rather than finding yourself accidentally 10m off the deck) use the additional rope for the traverse so no knot pass is needed. Max length of rope between two...

    Caving Illnesses

Re: Radon: Obviously assessing exposure is going to be tricky and assessing confounders equally so - might not have been smokers but secondhand smoke was not always a small risk. Caving Hacks, or things you learn with age?

When you get back to the car always take your knee pads off first. If you forget you may struggle to get your oversuit off. Inevitably you will be on Leck Fell in horizontal hail at this point.

Hoping to negotiate a day or two release to get underground - I have the cave descriptions but really interested to hear: a. which trips are a must do - noting that these are likely to be solo trips b. any general...
