This year's annual DCRO Open Day will be held on Saturday the 19th of September 2026 at our Base in the Buxton Fire and Rescue Centre in Staden Lane, Buxton SK17 9RZ
It's a great opportunity for any interested cavers to find out a bit more about the Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation (DCRO): How we train, What shiny toys we have, and best of all you get to have a go at everything!
Our Open Day is always practical and hands on as much as possible, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, perhaps learn some new skills, network with other local cavers, and best of all we provide a free lunch and refreshments.
Although it's not a hard sell recruiting event, if you are interested in joining, or are just interested in how cave rescue works, this is the perfect opportunity to get an overview of what we do, and how we do it.
