Myself, Chris Jones (meanderthal) and Barney Nikolich (Pennine Fell Runners) completed 3 Peaks 3 Pots this weekend in 23 hours 40 minutes, notwithstanding some impressive japery in Meregill Hole and overall pretty wet conditions in the caves

Full report to follow when we have the mental capacity - anyone who saw us in Feizor cafe late yesterday morning will appreciate the lack of brainpower we currently possess!

The Bad Badger four did it from Chapel le Dale church to Chapel le Dale church. The hot weather caused two to bin it at different points but I think it took the other two around 30 hours to complete. You've set a record there I reckon but who will challenge you?

Chapeau!
I wonder how many teams have completed it in this ‘pure’ style. I’m aware of 4 now.

Highest point to lowest point surely!

I'm not even sure if the highest point in OFD is (sensibly) accessible any more; it was accessed by bolt climbing a while ago. It would have been a lot easier when the highest point in the cave was just beyond the top Columns gate (so you needed to do it on a Columns day, but only about 10-15 minutes from the entrance)...

Highest exterior to lowest interior (from entrance or summit)? That's going to be fun calculating for Scotland - on some mountains the highest interior to lowest exterior may be greater!

ofd can be done as 259m height difference bounce from top entrance to gothic and back which is slighty less than Peak speedwells 264m (titan-swinehole? maybe somewhere else in peak and back) Ogof cnwc - terminal sump and back would be 197m and Oxlow to east canal would be 195m
mendips best one is charterhouse with 220m from entrance to hippos delight. pen y ghent is 160m to sump ( but vertical range of 194m) at least from the ulsa 1989 survey. gingling 165m entrance to sump. meregill being 161m
if anyone can find good data/surveys for other yorkshire caves such as GG as i suspect these may be deeper.
a trip to OFD , Titan/peak , Charterhouse and gingling would make a fine week
