A potholer was stretchered out of a cave in Malham in a dramatic rescue at the weekend.

So my brain doesn't leap with irritation every time I glance at the thread listing, can a mod kindly correct the title by altering stretched to stretchered, please? Thank you in advance. It's driving my eyes nuts.

Addendum: unless, of course, the correct word was being used all along and a caver was genuinely elongated and dislocated in order to extract them. In which case ignore my earlier plea.

It was, indeed, "stretched", in one of its occurrences. The headline is still in my RSS feed: here's a screenshot. Only the 2nd one could be copied and pasted as plain text, which is why I used it. I hadn't actually noticed the error myself!
